UTILITY SERVICE WORKER
We are accepting applications for the Utility Service Worker. If you would like to apply, please do so by completing the application below or picking up an application located at the Joshua Tree office, Monday through Fridays between 8am – 5pm.
This full-time position is primarily responsible for the cleaning, of both the inside and outside of Basin Transit buses. The position also entails janitorial and landscaping duties at the Basin Transit Operations Center, and other duties as assigned by the Lead Technician and or the Operations Manager, including bus stop cleaning and minor repair work on Basin Transit buildings and equipment.
Starting at $23.68/hr.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be proficient in the correct and safe use of all tools normally used in the trade for optimum level of performance
- Must use protective safety equipment in conjunction with some activities
- Must be able to obtain a valid commercial Drivers License “Class B” and DMV Physical Certification to be able to drive any agency vehicle.
- Work with machinery and cleaning materials in a responsible manner.
- Must pass drug screen (including marijuana).
- Must pass background check.
COACH OPERATORS

Starting at $25.33/hr.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a valid Driver License
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Be able to speak, read and write English
- Have a good driving record
- Successfully complete the minimum training hours for VTT Certificate
- Submit a current (within last 30 days) DMV print out
